Dr Farah Ahmed is Chair of Trustees and Director of Education at Shakhsia Schools. She is a Leverhulme Early Career Research Fellow in the Faculty of Education, University of Cambridge and co-chairs the Cambridge Educational Dialogue Research Group on Intercultural and Conflict Transformation Dialogue. Dr Ahmed has published widely on Islamic education and has worked on research-based curriculum development and teacher education for Muslim teachers for nineteen years. Her current project focuses on the philosophical investigation of dialogue in Islamic educational theory, alongside an empirical study of dialogic pedagogy in UK madrassas (secondary schools).
