Dr. Haitham Al-Haddad

Dr. Haitham Al-Haddad is an Islamic jurist and scholar based in the UK who currently serves as the Head of the Fatwa Committee of the Islamic Council of Europe. With over 20 years of study under the guidance of renowned scholars, he is an expert in various Islamic sciences, including Fiqh (Islamic jurisprudence) and Usul Al-Fiqh (principles of Islamic jurisprudence). Al-Haddad holds a PhD in Islamic Jurisprudence related to Muslim minorities from the School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS), University of London. His research focuses on the development of theories for Islamic jurisprudence in the 21st century. He frequently participates in scholarly conferences in the Muslim world and shares his insights into contemporary Islamic thought. He served as a judge of the Islamic Sharia Council (UK & Eire) for 15 years and has advised numerous Sharia councils across the UK and Europe.
